FAQ
What if one spouse is declined? Will the remaining spouse get to keep the Spousal discount?
With most of the Carriers, if one spouse is declined, the remaining spouse gets to keep the Spousal discount. However, if one spouse decides to not take the policy, the remaining spouse would lose the Spousal discount. With some Carriers, there is a Marital/Partner discount that would apply for just being married.

If my client goes on claim, will they have to continue paying the premiums on the policy?

No.  The policies have a provision called Waiver of Premium.  Once the client has met the elimination period and is accessing the benefits, the Waiver of Premium will apply.  As long as the client is on claim, the premium payments are waived.  However, if the client gets well and goes off of claim, the premium payments would resume.
