Continuing Education
In most states agents must be certified to sell Long Term Care Insurance. There are several ways to obtain the required 8 CE’s for certification.

  • Physically attend a class
  • Take an online course
  • Home Study course

In addition, if you want to sell The Partnership, you must be LTC certified first and complete an additional 8 Partnership CE’s. In California, www.insurance.ca.gov, the CE course is not available online or for home study. You must physically attend a Partnership class.

Both of these certifications must be renewed every two years to stay current. For each state you are licensed in you should check with each Department of Insurance to make sure you are up to date on your certifications.
