In most states agents must be certified to sell Long Term Care Insurance. There are several ways to obtain the required 8 CE’s for certification.
In addition, if you want to sell The Partnership, you must be LTC certified first and complete an additional 8 Partnership CE’s. In California, www.insurance.ca.gov, the CE course is not available online or for home study. You must physically attend a Partnership class. Two national educators who provide the classes as well as the courses. For each state you are licensed in you should check with each Department of Insurance to make sure you are up to date on your certifications.
