The E-application is a paperless process designed to allow agents to submit either a life insurance pre-application or a complete life insurance application directly to the participating life insurance carrier. By taking advantage of the latest internet and electronic signature technology, business is transmitted quicker and more efficiently. Once the E-app is received, the carrier works with your client to complete the application, manage the case, and deliver the policy.
The most widespread use of the E-app process is in the sale of term insurance. However, carriers are developing E-app processes that will allow you to submit permanent life insurance applications in the same manner. Prior to using an E-app you must be contracted in advance with the carrier you want to do business with.
